The same price doesn’t mean the same holiday.
Compare like with like first. Then you can see exactly what your money buys.
Use the same basis for comparison
| Check | What to clarify |
|---|---|
| Travellers | Is the price for everyone or per person? Is each child’s age included? |
| Currency | Which currency is shown, and how will the final amount payable be determined? |
| Duration | How many hotel nights? What are the arrival and departure times? Tour days and hotel nights are not the same. |
| Travel | Departure city, baggage, connections and travel to and from the airport. |
| Accommodation | Room category, occupancy and the exact meal plan. |
| Extras | Transfers, insurance, local taxes and services charged separately. |
Choose three priorities
A short transfer, an easy-access beach, children’s meals or quiet surroundings — a high overall score cannot answer every question. Explain what is essential and where you can compromise.
Check the source of a rating
Hotel stars, guest scores and recommendations mean different things. Check the source, review count and comments about what matters to you. A missing score is better than a made-up one.
Change one thing at a time
First compare nearby dates for the same hotel and travellers, then another departure city. Only then change the hotel or meal plan: fewer services do not always mean better value.
Before confirming
Clarify the final price, included services, amendment and cancellation terms, tour operator and payment arrangements. Check documents and entry requirements separately for your nationality and route.
